We Are Featured As Local Artist In VoyagePhoenix mag

As a creative entrepreneur and designer, I had the opportunity of being interviewed by VoyagePhoenix magazine to share my story and my journey with our children’s brand Kids on the Wise. VoyagePhoenix captures the stories of local artists and creative people, and I am happy to be featured as one of them.

In the Interview I talk about what lead me to launch Kids on the Wise, a brand owned by Black Canvas Craftworks, and how it was a natural from being a Black mother and a creative mind, that loves to express itself with compelling visuals, to creating to this diverse children’s brand.

“There’s something very fulfilling and magical about designing and writing for children, especially when I can infuse my work with kid-sized wisdom and inspiration.”

The article also reveals how I manifested my childhood pretend business into a real-life venture with Kids on the Wise.

“I am a German-born and raised graphic artist and creative entrepreneur with Afro-Cuban roots. As a child (…) I created magazines, books, music videos, and TV shows, all I could think of, and bundled them into my imaginary creative business.”
